Watch signals and report track hazards
How you could use an agent
Use an agent to organize the signal notes, route log, and crew messages into a running list of what was seen and when, so you can compare it with expected track conditions. It can also draft a short alert message for the engineer or dispatcher when you report a hazard.
Where you stay involved
You watch the signals and track conditions yourself, decide when something looks wrong, and give the stop or warning call to the engineer or other crew. You do not leave the hazard judgment to the agent.
